The Point of Sale (POS) Interface

Navigate to Point of Sale in the sidebar (or press Ctrl+K and type POS):

High-Speed Barcode Scanning

The POS interface is optimized for continuous scanning:

  • Focus remains automatically on the Barcode Input Field.
  • Scanning a product adds 1 unit to the cart immediately.
  • Scanning the same barcode multiple times automatically increments the item quantity without manual typing.
  • Pressing + or - adjusts the selected item quantity.

Multi-Mode Split Payments (Cash, Card & QR)

When the customer is ready to pay:

  1. Press F8 for instant full Cash payment or F9 for Split Payments.
  2. Enter the cash amount received from the customer.
  3. Enter remaining balance under Credit Card, Bank Transfer, or Raast QR.
  4. The system instantly calculates and displays the Change to Return.
  5. Hit Enter to finalize the sale and kick open the electronic cash drawer.

80mm & 58mm Thermal Receipt Printing

Roznamcha Digital includes pre-formatted thermal slip layouts optimized for 80mm and 58mm POS receipt printers, including company header, NTN/STRN, itemized tax rates, cashier shift IDs, and return policy disclaimers.


Shift Opening & Drawer Closing Reconciliation

At the end of a cashier's working shift:

  1. Click Close Shift Register.
  2. Count the physical currency notes and coins in the drawer and enter the total.
  3. The system prints a Z-Report (End-of-Day Shift Summary) comparing physical cash against system recorded sales.
  4. Submitting the shift close locks the register for that cashier.

Common Pitfalls & Best Practices

Never Skip Opening Shift Float Entry: Always enter your starting cash float in the morning. Forgetting this will cause an apparent cash overage at the end of the shift.

Configure ESC/POS Direct Thermal Printing: In Settings > Print, set your thermal receipt printer to Direct Print. This bypasses the OS print preview dialog and prints tickets in under 1 second.
